Want to switch to Dropbox Sign but still locked into a contract with your current e-signature provider? Until December 31, 2026, the Sign Switch program can help reduce the cost of switching by covering an amount equivalent to up to three months of your remaining contractual commitment.
For many businesses, the issue isn’t the desire to switch tools. It’s finding a financial justification for paying for both the old and the new solution at the same time. Sign Switch was created to address exactly that challenge.
What is Sign Switch?
Sign Switch is a Dropbox promotion for businesses currently using another e-signature solution that want to move to Dropbox Sign. The program is designed for companies whose existing contracts are delaying their decision to switch.
As a Dropbox partner, Fixtra helps you determine whether your business qualifies for the program and guides you through the entire process — from submitting the application to implementing Dropbox Sign.
How much can you save?
The promotional benefit is a one-time amount equivalent to up to three months of your documented contractual commitment to your current provider. Two limits apply, and the lower of the two determines the maximum benefit:
- Up to 25% of the value of your current contract.
- Up to USD 25,000 per transaction.
Example: If your annual contract is worth USD 40,000, three months represent USD 10,000 — exactly 25% of the contract value. The final amount depends on Dropbox’s review and approval of your application.
Eligibility requirements
To qualify for Sign Switch, your business must meet four requirements:
- An active contract with another e-signature provider that is delaying your switch to Dropbox Sign.
- A minimum two-year commitment to Dropbox Sign.
- An order signed no later than December 31, 2026.
- Documentation of your existing contract, such as a signed agreement or a dated annual invoice showing the service period and contract value.
Every application is subject to verification and approval by Dropbox.
Why switch to Dropbox Sign?
The promotion can make the decision easier, but the tool itself should be the main reason to switch. Dropbox Sign offers:
- A simple signing experience — documents can be signed in minutes on a computer or mobile device, without requiring signers to create an account.
- Templates and automation — send recurring contracts, forms, and approval requests without preparing each document manually.
- Integrations — connect with Dropbox, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Slack, and other tools your business already uses.
- Security and compliance — maintain an audit trail for every document and support compliance with electronic signature regulations, including eIDAS.
- API capabilities — integrate electronic signatures directly into your own applications and workflows.
How the process works with Fixtra?
We guide you through the process step by step:
- Initial consultation — we learn about your business needs and how you currently use electronic signatures.
- Eligibility assessment — we review your existing contract and estimate the potential promotional benefit.
- Application — we prepare and submit your application, together with the required documentation, through our distributor.
- Proposal — once Dropbox approves the application, we present an offer for Dropbox Sign that reflects the approved promotional benefit.
- Implementation — we help configure your accounts, templates, and integrations so your team can start working with the new solution as smoothly as possible.
With the December 31, 2026 deadline approaching, it’s worth getting started early. Reviewing and approving an application takes time.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Sign Switch pay off or cancel my existing contract? No. The promotional benefit does not pay off, terminate, or cancel your agreement with your current provider. All obligations under your existing contract remain your responsibility. The program helps offset the cost of switching by providing a benefit toward your new Dropbox Sign agreement.
- Will Dropbox pay the promotional amount directly to me? No. Dropbox transfers the approved benefit to the distributor, and Fixtra incorporates it into your Dropbox Sign offer.
- What documents will I need? You’ll need a signed agreement with your current provider or a dated annual invoice showing the service period and contract value.
- Is every application guaranteed to be approved? No. Every application is subject to review and approval by Dropbox. We’ll help you prepare a complete application and provide the required supporting documentation.
